Rutledge to Co-Chair Lawyers for Trump Coalition

July 23, 2020

LITTLE ROCK – Today, the Trump Campaign announced that Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge will serve as the Co-Chairman for the national Lawyers for Trump coalition. The coalition will include attorneys from across America supporting the re-election of President Donald J. Trump and his commitment to preserve our freedoms and to restore confidence in the rule of the law.

“I’m excited to serve as Co-Chairman for the national Lawyers for Trump coalition as we fight for our freedom to keep America great. In 2016, I was the only Arkansas elected official to serve as a Trump delegate to the national convention,” said Attorney General Leslie Rutledge. “President Trump’s commitment to defend our Constitution and reshape the federal judiciary will have lasting effects for generations to come. However, the Democrats have systematically and persistently tried to reverse the outcome of the 2016 election through petty political maneuvering. This coalition, consisting of some of the country’s greatest legal minds are mobilized and committed to defending the President and to ensure the integrity of a fair, honest election.”

Since 2017, President Trump has successfully appointed two Supreme Court Justices and nearly two-hundred federal judges, including Rutledge’s first Solicitor General, Lee Rudoskfy, who was appointed as a judge to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas in 2019.  As Attorney General, Rutledge has worked closely with the Trump Administration to roll back burdensome Obama-era regulations, defend religious liberties, and protect the constitutional rights of all Arkansans.
